Real Men Wear Pink- Matt Bostic
“Ultimately, Bostic would feel compelled to start a non-profit organization called Shoot For Life in honor of his mother.”
Born and raised in Greensburg, Indiana, Bostic began playing basket-ball at ten years old and continued through high school and in college at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. However, while in college, cancer took the life of his biggest fan — his mother Joanie. His passion for life and basketball led him to roles as a basketball coach and a youth pastor for several years in Frederick, Maryland. There he broke a Guinness World record for the most 3-point basketball shots made in 24 hours. Ultimately, Bostic would feel compelled to start a non-profit organization called Shoot For Life in honor of his mother. Since relocating his family to Montgomery in 2006, SFL has had the privilege of working in states across the country using various means — including another World Record attempt — to raise money on behalf of cancer patients. SFL is now Shoot For Life Ministries and continues to use basketball to bless and encourage others. Matt is the site pastor for Center-point Fellowship in Pike Road; Is married to Andrea and father to six children.
